The Winter Gala is fast approaching, but a crisis has thrown the holiday preparations into chaos: the Golden Gingerbread Recipe, a closely guarded family secret that has been passed down for generations, is missing. This isn’t just any recipe—it’s the key to creating the legendary gingerbread centerpiece that marks the start of the gala each year. Without it, the village’s most prestigious holiday tradition could crumble under scrutiny.
You’ve been hired by the Magpie Mysteries Detective Agency to investigate the theft. The recipe was last seen in the bakery’s high-security vault, but somehow, it vanished without a trace. Suspicions run high among the townsfolk, and tensions are bubbling under the festive surface. Possible culprits include the enigmatic Nutcracker Toymaker, the eccentric Yule Cat Antiquarian, and the rival bakers known as the Candy Cane Twins—all of whom have secrets to uncover.

Participants need a computer with internet and a mic (webcam optional). No extra logins or downloads are required. Groups over 12 should access our site: magpieriddles.com.

You are in the right place!
For teams of 1-12: You'll collaborate throughout the experience, solving riddles and mysteries presented by the Game Master on a shared screen.
For teams larger than 12: The event begins together with a welcome and game rules. Then, we'll split into smaller breakout rooms (6-10 people each). Each group works on their part of the investigation, with Group Meetings for idea-sharing. At the end, we'll reunite to solve the final riddle, combining everyone's discoveries. Even in smaller teams, you play together as one big team!
At the end, we'll take a themed group photo as a souvenir.
